Sean Welsh opened the first Olde Tyme Family Barber Shop in Severna Park, Maryland in 1991. Twenty years later, he brought that same tradition to Ocean City — gutting and rebuilding the space at 142nd Street and Coastal Highway in just six days flat with a crew of friends. The shop opened in October 2011, the same week as the White Marlin Open. The day after opening, Sean captained the Restless Lady to a 699.5-pound blue marlin — the biggest fish in the entire tournament. That's the kind of man who runs this shop: all in, all the time. Dark wood counters. Classic barber chairs. The buzz of clippers. The scent of hot lather. A fresh pot of coffee always brewing. This is the barbershop that refuses to die.
